All new projects begin with a probationary period during which it s determined whether a project has a good enough chance of success to warrant the time and funds involved. This can never be totally guarantee.

The design goals include performance criteria. These goals can be determined with a fair degree of accuracy but are never 100% guaranteed.

It is important that all projects recoupe the expenses incurred during the design and commercialization phases. These earnings are never guaranteed.

In order to be successful in a project's undertaking, there is a need for certain funding levels within a given time frame. If these funds fall short, a project may need to be slowed until such timely funds are available.

General
  • I look for projects that have as little direct and indirect competition as possible.IDS "works the cracks" so as to not compete directly with the large and better funded Research & Development companies.

    Scroller Wheel
  • NO possibility of obsolescence because the technology is based on a new mechanical PRINCIPLE. The patent's "method claim" was approved and so secures the field.

    Locus Bike
  • This is a method of designing bikes and so we see no obsolescence in the forseable future

    Cyclops Compressor
  • Since this is far simpler and less expensive to make than any other rotary option, I see this approach as being around for a long time.
