Who is IDS ?

• IDS is "Interactive Design Studios".

    It began as a Web-Based Think Tank.

    It is made up of talent spread out all over the world.

What is the purpose of IDS ?

•  IDS began with a mission of  "reinventing technology for the developing world".

    As such we relied heavily on contributions.

    Since the "Dot-Com" collapse and then 9-11,

    those incoming contributions have decreased quite a bit

    and so it became important to transform IDS into a profit center

    so as to insure a proper cash flow for our projects.

    Allowing people to contribute per-project is part of this new structure.

How did IDS get started ?

•  Having experienced a traditional research and development environment,

    IDS wanted to provide a creativity model

    which addressed problems found in those traditional structures.

    IDS begins all projects with certain structural  restrictions ....

goals :

            •  Originators own their ideas

            •  Structured functions are separated from creative functions.

results :

            •  Originators own their ideas

            •  Legal, Accounting, Engineering etc. are jobbed out.

How long has IDS been around ?

•  This is an on-going process that began in April of 1985.
